Studio Space for Mid-Career to Established Artists
We’re now inviting applications from mid-career to established artists for an upcoming studio space at Rua Red.
Our studios offer affordable, dedicated workspaces for visual artists, with licences running from one to three years depending on needs and availability. The studio is Rua Red's largest studio, measuring approximately 7.5m x 8.7m with a monthly fee of €360.

Relative, Relatable, Radical Strategy 2026—2032
The Board and Staff of Rua Red have been on a two-year, strategy making journey and we are delighted to share that we have launched our Strategic Plan for 2026—2032.
Rua Red is more than just a building; it is a living, breathing, evolving space rooted in our community, shaped by the people and this place. This strategic plan is a crucial step in articulating the vision and values that have guided us so far while setting out a bold and ambitious direction for the years ahead. Rua Red’s strategy frames our role as a relevant, relatable and radical contemporary arts centre that is directly informed by its location in Tallaght and its position as being an integral part of the wider cultural infrastructure in South Dublin County.

How to See People with Parkinson's
Artist Grace Dyas is looking for participants for a paid charrette taking place this September at Rua Red.
This is an open co-creation space using Theatre of the Oppressed — no performance required, no fixed outcome. Together we’ll explore one question: how do we actually see people with Parkinson’s?
People say they see people who have Parkinson’s, but they don’t. The difficulty of negotiating when your inner world remains the same, yet what is represented to the world is completely different. The ambition is to make a film that could at once effect political change and also serve as a tool for the newly diagnosed—as part of an anti-loneliness campaign for people with early onset Parkinson’s. A single hand, a breath, a half-started sentence. This aesthetic allows for more truth than a public health announcement.
Open to anyone with early onset Parkinson’s at any age.

South Dublin County—Intercultural Artists' Network
We're in the process of compiling a database of artists and creatives who form an important part of South Dublin County's vibrant arts scene. The network is free to join, and is for any practising creative across one or more artistic disciplines over the age of 18, full-time or otherwise, regardless of your background. Our only criterion is that you must be based in or working in South Dublin County (a bonus if you are interested in meeting and potentially collaborating with and networking with artists from diverse backgrounds). Through this, we aim to create space for artists to further engage with their careers, offering opportunities to develop their network and explore collaborations.
