To mark the close of Alternative Ways of Seeing, an exhibition of creative work by people in custody, join us for a panel discussion chaired by Hilary Fennell, Producer and Director of The Secret Artists, BBC 2022, and Art Behind Bars, BBC 2023.
The panel will include Alternative Ways of Seeing curator Eddie Cahill, visual artist and former prisoner; David Barr, artist and former prisoner with paintings featured in Alternative Ways of Seeing; Pat Sheedy, published writer, former prisoner, and member of the panel of Writers in Prisons; and Tom Shortt, Irish Prison Services Arts Officer, coordinator of IPS exhibitions, Artists and Writers in Prisons, the Listowel Prison Writing Competition and joint-editor of ALL IN a cross-border magazine of prison arts.
