Creative Explorers
Each Saturday and Wednesday we invite you to take part in our regular Creative Explorer workshops. Activities are for ages 3-7 and 8 -12. Creative Explorer facilitators Saoirse and Cliona will take you through simple, creative and fun that your kids can do at home. The first of these will be posted on Facebook Saturday 4th April. Artist Cliona Dowd will lead a fun, creative activity for 3 - 7 year olds. Join in and send through your artworks in the comments.
Magdalene Programme
This autumn Rua Red will launch the Magdalene Programme, a series of commissioned exhibitions featuring some of the leading female artists in Ireland. Throughout April and May, Rua Red Director and Curator Maolíosa Boyle will hold a series of conversations with the individual artists.
Life at Rua Red
Rua Red is home to many different organisations, groups and individuals. Open Studio
Rua Red is home to artists who from their Rua Red studios they create artwork that is focussed on social and political issues and are some of the most internationally recognised artists in their field. Join us for a series of talks by Rua Red’s resident artists Sarah Browne, Jessie Jones, Sonia Sheils, Ella Bertilsson, Rachel Fallon and DoubleTake Studio. #ruaredlife
Coffee Mornings
Grab a cuppa and have a chat. We are here every Friday morning at 11am to talk through what’s concerning you right now. Our first coffee morning, (date to be announced), will focus on ‘The pressure to be productive through lockdown’. We’re all feeling it, so let’s talk it out.
