Unwrapped 2018 : A Winter Festival of Lights!
- 1 Dec
- 4pm - 6:30am
- All Welcome
Join us for a fun-filled evening of celebrations for all the family on Saturday December 1st at 4pm, Main Street, Tallaght.
Unwrapped Festival marks the beginning of the winter festive season. This year’s theme is ‘Return to Tír na nÓg’, a reminder of the part that traditional stories and customs play in celebrations around the world.
There will be music, singing and a lantern parade beginning at Main Street, Tallaght and continuing to Civic Square for the lighting of the tree by Mayor of South Dublin County, Cllr. Mark Ward. All welcome.
If you want to get really involved in the festivities come and take part in a lantern making workshop. Throughout October/November lantern making workshops will take place every Saturday (excluding Saturday 27 October) at Rua Red. The workshops are suitable for all ages. Come along, have a go and bring your lantern to the parade on Dec 1st. Workshop booking is essential as places are limited and book up fast! Your €5 fee covers the cost of your lantern lights. All welcome
