Dublin based band Saso are to up residence for one week in the white cube Gallery 1space in RUA RED . The public will be allowed access to the gallery and given a unique insight into the process of how Saso's music is made.

The week long session will culminate in a live performance in the gallery on 22nd January 2010. The intention of the artist in residence project is to give the public a unique opportunity to observe the workings of a music group and how they create, prepare and perform live music.

Throughout the week visitors to RUA RED can watch Saso for two hours a day as they rehearse and prepare for a live performance. The active / inactive contrast of live and silent instruments is an important component of the attraction of the exhibition.

This project consolidates Saso's reputation as a genuine independent band with a dedication to producing music of aesthetic individuality and undiminished spirit.
