Our Community, Our Problem

4th December 2020

An installation of 172 baby grows that represented the number of children who received emergency accommodation in Saoirse Women’s Refuge in Tallaght last year.

Our Community, Our Problem took place outside Rua Red South Dublin Arts Centre on 3 December 2020.

To mark the International 16 Days of Activism Campaign, Saoirse Women's Refuge are raising awareness of the impact of domestic violence on women, children and communities. Domestic violence affects all communities and we all have a role to play in eradicating this crime. Saoirse is calling out to all families and members of the community to join the campaign to end violence against women.

The 16 days of Activism Campaign launched in 1991 is the longest-running international campaign to end violence against women.
