26th August 2020

This deadline has been extended until Tuesday, 15th of September 2020!

The Mother Tongues Festival is looking for artists, performers and workshop facilitators to join the largest multilingual festival in the country!

The Mother Tongues Festival is the largest festival celebrating linguistic diversity through the arts in Ireland. Originally devised to celebrate the first birthday of its founding organisation and UNESCO’s International Mother Language Day on 21st February, the Mother Tongues Festival has hosted events in over 20 different languages since its inception in 2018.

The goal of the festival is to explore and celebrate linguistic diversity through the arts.

Any art form is welcome, and Mother Tongues are now seeking expressions of interest from artists and workshop facilitators who want to be part of this great multicultural event for all ages. If you speak a language other than English or if language and communication are at the core of your artistic practice and you like the idea of working in a multicultural festival, please fill out an expression of interest by 15th September 2020. If your project fits the criteria Mother Tongues will contact you again to submit a full project proposal, your CV and examples of previous work.
