You are invited to come and complete your own work, try something new or just have a browse.
The media lab is a great space to work on your creative project whether its music, photography, film, design, animation...you get the idea.

The Media Lab is fully equipped with 10 Apple Mac G5 towers and a full range of software including:

Flash CS4 / Illustrator CS4 / In Design CS4 / Dreamweaver CS4 / Fireworks CS4
After Effects CS4 / OnLocation CS4 / Premiere Pro CS4 / Final Draft / Final Cut / Adobe Encore CS4
Logic pro / Sound Booth CS4
And full range of Apple’s own packages.

If you enjoy your experience and want to become a member to use the lab again we'll give you :

- 10% off all media lab bookings until end of August 2010

This is how it works:
- You decide which day and what hours you would like to come in. (4 hour slots are available from 10am - 6pm each day)
- Email boxoffice@ruared.ie or call 01 451 5860 to book your slot
- Come in on the day with your student ID and sign in at reception
- We'll provide you with a swipe access card and assign you to a machine.
- Work away at your leisure in the lab for up to 4 hours

The small print:
- You are required to produce valid student ID on signing in at reception to claim your free hours.
- The 4 hours must be claimed in 1 visit. (You cannot split your free hours into two 2 hour sessions)
- There will be no technical support or tuition available.The offered hours are for 'private project use' and we expect you to have existing knowledge of any applications / software you wish to use.
- Cafe voucher, free membership and discount are only available to students who take up membership during the open week.
- Printing and additional equipment costs are not included in this offer. If you wish to print or require extra equipment please speak to a staff member on booking.
- The media lab usually costs e2.50 per hour, e9 per half day (4 hours) & e18 for a full day (8 hours).
