INTRODUCTION TO ABLETON LIVE WEEKEND COURSE

This is a hands-on two day course where students learn how to make and perform their own electronic music using “Ableton Live” software.  The course is broken up between demonstration and exercises so the skills can bed in.  Computers and software provided, you just need to bring yourself!

Ableton Live is becoming the software of choice amongst many top producers, particularly those working with electronic music.  This is because it has all the production tools you’ll find with other music production software (and more), it’s very stable, and it also presents a lot of great opportunities for live performance!

If you have already used music production software, you will find Ableton live incredibly versatile by comparison with the ability to perform all processing live, and as the music plays.  It’s intuitive to use and with some simple techniques you can get to producing your own music extremely quickly.  If you want to take it further, Ableton is pretty limitless in terms of the detail you can get to, if you want you can even build your own music effects processors etc.

No previous experience necessary. Suitable for 12 years +
