FOUNDATION COURSE IN DANCE
Led by Louise Costelloe, dancer in residence with South Dublin County Council

WHAT IS THE COURSE ABOUT?
This 30 hour course (12 weeks x 2.5 hours per week) can be designed to suit the needs of participants. We are aiming to look at dance on the curriculum and how you might build up resources for a dance module. The course will introduce skills in:

• Fundamentals of dance (Body, Space, Dynamics, Relationship)
• Appropriate warm ups for a group
• Dance making and choreography
• Using resources for dance
• Ideas for lessons

ABOUT THE TEACHER
Louise Costelloe is the Dancer in Residence for South Dublin County Council. She has worked as a dancer and choreographer and specialises in work in education and communities. She is certified by the Laban Guild for the Art of Movement and Dance.

                                No class on 26th Oct & 2nd Nov
Time:                      5.30pm - 8pm
Admission:           12 weeks course €100 (course subsidised by SDCSP)
