Tallaght Community Arts is delighted to present Sounds Ensemble Midsummer Concert, a live performance from the talented musicians of Sounds Ensemble, led by Musical Director Terry Clancy.

Sounds Ensemble is in existence for nearly four years, and is an ensemble that offers opportunities to people who wish to learn to play a classical instrument. The criteria are: one must be over thirty years of age and enthusiastic. We also provide opportunities for those who have played many years ago and would like to blow the "dust off their trumpet" and rekindle their interest in playing with a group of like-minded people.

Sounds Ensemble meets every Thursday evening at RUA RED, the new South Dublin Arts Centre at Civic Square, Tallaght from 8 to 9.30 pm. It is enjoyable, a way of meeting new friends, and the members dictate the pace in which they move.

Sounds Ensemble is supported by Tallaght Community Arts (TCA), a pro-active organisation working with local community groups to activate arts programmes in line with the needs of the wider Tallaght community: geographically, culturally and socially.
TCA’s work focuses on participatory arts, encouraging people of all ages to be involved in the making of art. TCA’s aim is to work in partnership with local and national agencies in a cross-sector approach to sustainable community development, which puts people and culture at the centre.
