It has been a fairly crazy week and a bit over at RUA RED. We've been planning and plotting an excellent programme of events from July - December which you will be hearing about from the end of May. Between that and the day off for St. Patrick's, I haven't known if I was coming or going!!
Anyway, here is my first little slice of inspiration that I would like to share with you.
Her name is Elizabeth Gilbert and she is a writer. I first came across her through one of my many TED adventures. (If you haven't yet visited TED and seen some of the videos please do. You will not be disappointed!!)
Elizabeth Gilbert's talk on 'Nurturing Creativity' from 2009 is absolutely my favourite video. I come back to it time and again - especially when I'm having some kind of crisis about my own creativity and work.
Here it is below:
So when I struggled at the start of this week, I had a stern little talk to myself and just made a promise that every day I would 'show up' and do my best.
If you haven't read Gilbert's work then I can highly recommend 'Eat, Pray, Love'. The movie of the film is out in September but please do read it first if you can - I always think books are much better! Here is a sneak peak of the trailer:
