Hello lovely readers!

Technically I'm on holiday this week but I love writing and I feel guilty about not having written last week so I'm writing a quick blog to you...and wondering when my boss will notice...hee hee.

I'm currently in Glasgow visiting family and enjoying some time off. I always try to take in a few 'cultural' events while I'm here and this visit is no different. One thing that has really struck me here as a visitor is the importance of customer service. At RUA RED we build customer experience into every element of our work. Its something we feel passionate about - and we think will be a deciding factor in whether you come back to visit.

I went to visit a gallery today to try and see an exhibition I had been told about. First impressions were good enough. The girl at the front desk was friendly and knew general information about the exhibitions that were open and the best way to go through.

Great.

The person I was with was carrying a microwave. (We'd had to make a quick detour to Argos - essential to our next stop you have to understand). Not thinking it would be a problem we asked if they would mind holding it behind reception while we walked through. They said no they couldn't but we could take it through with us. (!?!?) Neither of us felt like lugging a 13kg microwave through an exhibition so we opted to leave instead.

Now, I understand that there may be restrictions to what requests you can fill as a venue, especially with safety and security restrictions the way they are, but (and I can promise you this) if you wander into RUA RED with a microwave and wish to have a look at our exhibitions, pop into a class, watch a film or visit a studio, we will look after it for you.

If we can do anything at all to make your visit to us more personal, more comfortable, easier or more fun then you just have to ask! We enjoy a challenge so whatever it is don't be afraid to let us know.
If you have a special request, call us in advance and we'll do our best to make it happen!
If we disappoint you, don't hesitate to tell us and we'll make sure that it doesn't happen again.
